State Rep. Harris elected Vice-Chair of Board of Hispanic Caucus Chairs
INDIANAPOLIS – Last week, State Rep. Earl Harris Jr. (D-East Chicago) was elected Vice-Chair of the Board of Hispanic Caucus Chairs.
The Board of Hispanic Caucus Chairs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Hispanic and Latino communities by bringing together elected legislators of Hispanic and Latino Caucuses from across the country. The Board's current legislative priorities include creating more economic opportunities for, increasing access to health care and education in, and promoting participation in local, state and national government by Hispanic and Latino communities.
“I am honored to serve as a leader for the Board of Hispanic Caucus Chairs,” Harris said. “Being one of the few Latino legislators in the Indiana General Assembly, I understand the challenges ahead and I look forward to working with the Board to amplify the voices of our Hispanic and Latino communities to create real change.”
