INDIANAPOLIS – State Representative Blake Johnson (D-Indianapolis) today announced that he has been selected to serve on three committees during the 2021 Legislative Session. Johnson will be ranking Democrat on the Local Government Committee and will be serving on two other committees: Public Policy; and Roads and Transportation.

Johnson was selected on June 27, 2020 to fill a vacancy in District 100 of the Indiana House of Representatives and was elected to a full term in November. He previously served as a member of the Indianapolis City-County Council.

“We know that Indiana’s cities and towns are hurting as they face this pandemic and the resulting loss of lives, jobs, businesses and stability,” Johnson said. “As the Ranking Minority Member on the Local Government Committee, I look forward to working with Chairman Zent, as well as my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, to help strengthen our communities and provide the support necessary for local governments to weather the remainder of this storm.”

The 2021 Legislative Session will begin on January 4.
