State Rep. Andrade appointed to new committees
INDIANAPOLIS – State Rep. Mike Andrade (D-Munster) has been appointed to three session committees by House Democratic Leader Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne). The second-term legislator has been appointed to the House Financial Institutions, Veterans Affairs and Public Safety and Ways and Means Committees for the 2023 meeting of the Indiana General Assembly, which begins January 9. He has also been named Ranking Democrat on the Financial Institutions Committee.
“I'm honored and thrilled for the opportunity to serve on committee leadership during the 2023 session,” Andrade said. “From serving as Ranking Democrat on the Financial Institutions Committee and shaping our biennial budget on the Ways and Means Committee to keeping our communities safe on the Veterans Affairs and Public Safety Committee, I will continue to serve the people of the 12th district and ensure their voices are heard at the Statehouse. When we decide how to allocate our huge budget surplus this session, l'll fight for our first responders, educators, veterans, working families, healthcare professionals, mental health advocates, small business owners and all Hoosiers. It’s an honor to serve!”
