Jackson invites POWER Caucus scholarship applications
As of Tuesday, Oct. 10, The Indiana Political Organization for Women's Education and Representation (POWER) Caucus Scholarship is now accepting applications. Around $750 is awarded biennially to as many awardees as possible with the intention of helping Hoosier women who took a “non-traditional” education route and returned to an Indiana school to pursue an undergraduate or graduate degree at age 25 or older. Scholarships are typically awarded to women who demonstrate passion for giving back to those around them and the betterment of their community.
“The POWER Scholarship empowers women to take their education to the next level no matter where they are at in life,” POWER Caucus Chair State Rep. Carolyn Jackson (D-Hammond) said. “Our organization is particularly focused on emboldening women who are dedicated to giving back to their communities. It is never too late for a woman to go back to school, and those who do so deserve encouragement and support.”
Applications are due by November 15th of this calendar year. The application form is live now. No late submissions will be accepted. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected] or 317-234-9041.
