GiaQuinta offers support to Hoosier Jewish community

House Democratic Leader Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne) issued the following statement in support of the Hoosier Jewish community:

“My heart weighs heavy for Jewish Hoosiers today. I know many passed the weekend anxiously waiting to hear from loved ones in Israel or are frightened by what will unfold in the coming weeks. To our Jewish communities: I want to be clear that Indiana is stronger for your presence and contributions, and you will always be valued here. Hate and anti-Semitism has no place in our state. I am sorry for your pain and grief and am holding you in my thoughts and prayers.

“I echo President Biden's remarks in support of the Israeli people in the wake of this tragedy, which resulted in the deadliest day for Jewish people since the Holocaust. Peace and stability must be all parties' priority.”
