Campbell statement on Central Indiana shootings
INDIANAPOLIS – In response to Sunday's mass shooting in Greenwood Park Mall and the shooting at a Beech Grove park vigil, Rep. Chris Campbell (D-West Lafayette) issued the following statement:
“I would like to send my deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones in these senseless tragedies and all those who have been impacted by this recent gun violence. Enough is enough. We need to act as a legislature to put an end to the shootings that are wracking our state. Too many lives have been lost, and we cannot stand by idly and allow for uncontrolled violence to tear our state apart.
“I am urging my Statehouse colleagues to continue advocating for commonsense gun policies and urging my fellow Hoosiers to think before they act. Too many lives have been taken and too many families destroyed. It’s up to all of us to put an end to gun violence.”
