State Rep. Moseley honors the Chesterton High School radio station
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana House of Representatives joined State Representative Chuck Moseley (D-Portage) and Indiana House Democrat Minority Leader Scott Pelath from Michigan City in honoring WDSO-FM, Chesterton High School radio station.
“WDSO-FM has been on the air for over 40 years and continues to offer students a fun environment where they can expand their communication skills,” said Moseley. “It allows students who are interested in broadcasting to receive the training to chase their dreams and have fun doing it.”
The radio station is owned by the Duneland School Corporation and operated out of Chesterton High School for students enrolled in their broadcasting class.
“WDSO-FM has come a long way from 1974, now being able to broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to approximately 150,000 Duneland residents,” Moseley said.
“These residents depend on this radio station to give them their news, weather and sports updates daily,” he noted.
