Secure Indiana Scholarship
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Homeland Security Foundation is pleased to announce that the application for the “Secure Indiana Scholarship” is now available on their website. In addition to awarding grants to assist Hoosier first responder organizations, the Foundation is using stewardship funds to award scholarships whose purpose is to promote volunteerism with these organizations. The scholarship is available to Indiana residents who: are currently a volunteer for a public safety organization, are pursing an undergraduate degree at an accredited Indiana college, have a minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and want to pursue a career in public safety.
The Foundation will be awarding up to 20 scholarships (2 per Homeland Security district) with full-time students eligible to receive a $2,000 award and part-time students eligible to receive a $1,000 award.
The application deadline is July 15, 2016.
