News & Media

INDIANAPOLIS — I received the information below from community leaders involved in the event outlined below, including Pastor/Councillor Stephen Clay, and I wanted to ensure that you had an opportunity to see it as well:

Operation Safe Surrender is an opportunity for persons with outstanding warrants for Level 6 Felonies and Misdemeanors in Marion County to have their warrants reviewed and potentially resolved onsite instead of being arrested.

This opportunity will be conducted April 14-16 at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, located at 5640 E. 38th St. [get a map]. Hours of operation will be 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on April 14, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on April 15 & 16.

Additional services will also be offered by concerned community partners as part of Operation Safe Surrender.

If you have any questions about Operation Safe Surrender, please call the Marion County Public Defender’s Office at 317-327-3982.
