Marion County lawmakers appointed to Interim Study Committees

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis state representatives have been appointed to study committees and commissions that will meet in the coming months.

STATE REP. JOHN BARTLETT (D-Indianapolis), 95th Dist., will be a member of the Commission on Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises; Interim Study Committee on Elections; the Interim Study Committee on Employment & Labor; the Legislative Council; the Legislative Council’s Space Utilization Subcommittee; the Special Interim Study Committee on Redistricting; and the Legislative Council’s Technology Subcommittee.

STATE REP. ED DELANEY (D-Indianapolis), 86th Dist., will be on the Interim Study Committee on Corrections and Criminal Code; Interim Study Committee on Courts and Judiciary; and the Interim Study Committee on Government.

STATE REP. DAN FORESTAL (D-Indianapolis), 100th Dist., has been appointed to the Indiana Homeland Security Foundation; the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development; the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight; and the Interim Study Committee on Roads and Transportation.

STATE REP. KARLEE MACER (D-Indianapolis), 92nd, will serve on the Indiana Veterans’ Affairs Commission; the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development; the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities and Communications; and the Interim Study Committee on Public Safety and Military Affairs.

STATE REP. JUSTIN MOED (D-Indianapolis), 97th Dist., will be a member of the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations; the Indiana White River State Park Development Commission; the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance; the Special Interim Study Committee on Redistricting; and the Tourism Council.

STATE REP. GREG PORTER (D-Indianapolis), 96th Dist., has been named as a member of Funding Indiana’s Roads for a Stronger, Safer Tomorrow; the Legislative Council’s Audit and Financial Reporting Subcommittee; the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy; the Public Highway Private Enterprise Review Board; and the State Fair Advisory Commission.

STATE REP. CHERRISH PRYOR (D-Indianapolis), 94th Dist., will serve on the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications; the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy; and the Interim Study Committee on Government.

STATE REP. ROBIN SHACKLEFORD (D-Indianapolis), 98th Dist., has been appointed to the Community and Home Options to Institutional Care for the Elderly & Disabled Board; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission; the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development; the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance; and the Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health and Human Services.

STATE REP. VANESSA SUMMERS (D-Indianapolis), 99th Dist., was named as a member of the Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana and the Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health and Human Services.
