Klinker honors Lafayette Central Catholic High School girls volleyball team
INDIANAPOLIS – State Representative Sheila Klinker (D-Lafayette) today honored the Lafayette Central Catholic High School girls volleyball team on its historic Class A state championship win. Rep. Klinker authored the resolution, which was co-authored by Rep. Sally Siegrist (R-West Lafayette).

“Accomplishments like this win deserve special recognition,” said Rep. Klinker. “The team’s coaches, Brad McCarter, Joelle Beisel, and Jacklyn Williams, as well as their athletic director, Tim Bordenet, have done an amazing job at coaching the girls to accomplish their goals.”
The measure recognized several team members, including Gretchen Kuckkan, with 21 kills and 3 aces; Sami Royer, with 38 assists; and Jozee Evans, with 14 kills and 9 digs.
The volleyball team, which had a 30-5 season, defeated Hauser High School in the Class A state volleyball championship game, by a score of 26-24, 25-18, and 25-15.
“I am very pleased to congratulate the very talented Central Catholic High School girls volleyball team on their incredible win,” said Rep. Klinker. “They were able to pull through a difficult game and bring home the Class A championship title.”
