Indiana House Democrats select new leadership team for 2021 session

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana House Democrats selected the following leadership team for the 2021 Legislative Session:

House Democratic Leader: State Rep. Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne)

House Democratic Floor Leader: State Rep. Cherrish Pryor (D-Indianapolis)

House Democratic Caucus Chair: State Rep. Terri Austin (D-Anderson)

“I am grateful that the House Democratic Caucus has again chosen me to be its leader,” GiaQuinta said.

“We have seen Hoosiers take hit after hit this year and I am ready to lead House Democrats as we face the challenges ahead. There are going to be many issues to address when we gavel in for the first time in January, and it's imperative that we remain focused on protecting and supporting the constituents we serve. We have a lot of work to do but I have no doubt that my colleagues and I will do everything we can to ensure a brighter future for all Hoosiers.”

House Democrats also welcomed four new members to their ranks:

State Rep. Maureen Bauer (D-South Bend), House District 6
