Goodin continues efforts to expand fast, reliable internet
One of the main things I continue to hear from local residents is that we need faster and more reliable internet services throughout Southern Indiana.
That’s why I am pleased the Governor and the legislature worked together this past year to take action. First, the Governor dedicated $100 million from the state toll road lease to improving connectivity issues in rural and underserved areas. Then, my colleagues and I passed House Bill 460, which establishes a grant program and other infrastructure needed to use those funds to help Hoosier residents.
It's clear why better internet service is important to our local communities. It helps our students succeed and learn in the classroom, makes businesses of all sizes more efficient and improves the quality of life for all residents.
