Gary delegation will host legislative wrap-up public forum on March 24

INDIANAPOLIS - Northwest Indiana State Reps. Vernon G. Smith (D-Gary),  Earl L. Harris Jr. (D-East Chicago), Ragen Hatcher (D-Gary), Mike Andrade (D-Munster) and State Sens. Eddie Melton (D-Gary) and Lonnie Randolph (D-East Chicago) will host a public forum to discuss the 2022 legislative session  on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

The legislators will host a public forum to inform the public about legislative actions during the 2022 session. 

“This is an opportunity for Hoosiers to have a conversation about policies that were considered and signed into law during the 2022 session,” Smith said. “I encourage everyone to attend to learn about how new laws will affect them and what they can do to stay involved in the political process.

“The Gary delegation would like to express gratitude for the public’s continued participation and push to defeat dangerous legislation this session that targeted our community,” Smith added. “We value and look forward to hearing the public’s input as we form our policy priorities for the next session.”
