Fleming to offer outreach hours to Jeffersonville, Clarksville, Watson and Oak Park communities

News & Media, Media Releases

It's important to make sure that the government is working for you. State Rep. Rita Fleming (D-Jeffersonville) wants to remind her local community of the state resources available to them. On Nov. 20, Fleming will offer listening hours and share state resources in Jeffersonville.

The hours and location for Fleming’s community outreach hours on Monday, Nov. 20 are:

  • 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, Center Program Room. (211 E Court Ave, Jeffersonville, IN 47130)

“I’m excited to invite all District 71 residents to drop by the Jeffersonville Library for my outreach hours. Please come by, share your concerns with me and pick up some informational resources,” Fleming said. “Southern Indiana can seem so removed from the Statehouse since it’s all the way in Indianapolis. Louisville is closer to us than our own state capitol. As your state representative, I want to ensure that the Indiana state government is accessible and easy to understand. I’ll be bringing information about mental health, skilled trades, job opportunities and more. The 2024 session is fast approaching, and I want your thoughts on what the state legislature should prioritize.”

Resources available at the community outreach hours include senior citizen resources, veterans' benefits information, mental health resources and a kinship caregiver brochure.

Please contact Rep. Fleming's legislative office at [email protected] with questions about resources, the community outreach hours or just general concerns.
