Dvorak announces 2020 interim study committee assignments
INDIANAPOLIS – State Representative Ryan Dvorak (D-South Bend) today announced his appointment to four interim study committees. Meeting during the summer and fall months, interim study committees present a unique opportunity to further explore topics of importance identified in the previous legislative session. Last month, the Legislative Council assigned study topics to each of the interim study committees.
Dvorak will serve on the following: Interim Study Committee on Courts and the Judiciary; Interim Study Committee on Environmental Affairs; President Benjamin Harrison Conservation Trust Project Commission; and Indiana Public Defender Commission.
“I'm looking forward to collaborating with my colleagues and constituents to solve some of the most pressing issues facing our state,” Dvorak said. “The legislative session concluded just before Indiana began experiencing the worsening health and financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now more than ever, both sides must put aside their differences and come together to address the issues facing Indiana and deliver tangible legislative change for Hoosiers.”
During the legislative session, Dvorak is the ranking Democrat on the House Rules and Legislative Procedures Committee; and serves on four other committees: Courts and Criminal Codes; Judiciary; the Committee on Joint Rules; and Natural Resources.
