DeLaney celebrates IU, Purdue Indianapolis campus announcement

State Rep. Ed DeLaney (D-Indianapolis) celebrated yesterday's agreement to formalize the separation of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis into Indiana University Indianapolis and Purdue University in Indianapolis:

“This agreement creates clear identities for two top-tier universities in our capital city. With clear identity will come clear missions on which we can focus. I predict a boom in student applications and in grants. I am committed to increasing support from our legislature through our state budget. In particular I am working to increase state support enabling a reduction in tuition and increasing enrollment.”
