Boy: Sullair expansion of Michigan City operation will create more than 30 full-time jobs
INDIANAPOLIS – State Rep. Pat Boy (D-Michigan City) participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for Sullair’s $30 million expansion of its North American operations and headquarters campus in Michigan City, Indiana.
“Sullair chose to make one of it’s largest investments in the company’s history right here in Michigan City,” said Boy. “This investment will create about 80 construction jobs with Tonn and Blank Construction and more than 30 full-time jobs with Sullair. This expansion project is great news for Michigan City and LaPorte County.”
The expansion project includes the construction of a new 80,000-square-foot manufacturing building, a canopied storage building and an additional parking lot for employees. The project will also reconfigure and optimize portions of the existing, primary 280,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on the campus.
Construction is expected to begin this week.
