Andrade votes to send public retirees, including teachers, a 13th check this year

State Rep. Mike Andrade (D-Munster) today voted to send public retirees a 13th check this year. After today’s vote, House Bill 1004 has passed the House of Representatives and is heading to the Senate for consideration. 

Andrade released the following statement celebrating the bill’s passage: 

“The bill we passed today is a promise to state retirees that we haven’t forgotten them. For many on a fixed income, a 13th check can help tremendously. I am always happy to work to solve the problems my constituents and Hoosiers throughout the state are facing, and I’m proud to help Hoosiers’ wallets via this important legislation.”
