Andrade issues statement applauding resolution of Pepsi Co. strike

INDIANAPOLIS – State Rep. Mike Andrade (D-Munster) issued the following statement applauding the resolution of the Pepsi driver strike in Munster:

“I was incredibly pleased to receive the call last night telling me that Pepsi had finally offered new contracts that met the demands of their drivers. I only wish we could've reached this point sooner.

“When companies like Pepsi are bringing in massive profits, they owe it to their employees, who are directly responsible for those great profits, to provide affordable health care and benefits. I applaud my union brothers and sisters for their dedication to this fight and hope that their perseverance will continue to hold companies accountable.”
