Andrade bestows Sagamore of the Wabash Award upon Dr. Lorin Brown
On Wednesday, June 26, State Rep. Mike Andrade (D-Munster) bestowed a Sagamore of the Wabash award upon Dr. Lorin Brown of Munster, Ind. Granted by Gov. Eric Holcomb, the award is the highest honor awarded by the governor and recognizes significant leadership, community involvement and contributions to the State of Indiana.
Andrade submitted a request to Gov. Holcomb that Dr. Brown be recognized for his unwavering commitment to serving others and enriching his community as a renowned orthopedic surgeon.
Dr. Brown has devoted himself to community service, demonstrating his dedication as a respected orthopedic surgeon in working tirelessly to enhance children’s health and making significant contributions through volunteer work. His impact extends beyond the operating room, shaping the lives of Munster High School students as the dedicated team physician, and ensuring their safety through his roles as Chairman of the Munster Board of Safety. Additionally, he plays a vital role in community safety through his roles as a surgeon and member of the District Law Enforcement Strike Team Critical Activities Group.
