State Rep. Chris Campbell honors 2019 All-American Soap Box Derby world champion and West Lafayette native on the House floor

INDIANAPOLIS—State Rep. Chris Campbell (D-West Lafayette) offered a Resolution on the House floor recognizing West Lafayette native Abby Mills for becoming the 82nd All-American Soap Box Derby world champion.
“I was proud to honor Abby for this incredible accomplishment,” said Campbell. “She is someone who has inspired a lot of people, especially young women, in our community.”
Mills won the title during her last race, after competing for 10 years in Soap Box Derby at the annual All-American Soap Box Derby international event in Akron, Ohio on July 20, 2019.
Mills is a mechanical engineering student at Purdue University and a West Lafayette High School graduate.
