Reps. Campbell, Klinker both named to House Ways and Means Committee
INDIANAPOLIS – State Reps. Chris Campbell (D-West Lafayette) and Sheila Klinker (D-Lafayette) both have been selected by legislative leadership to serve on the influential Indiana House Ways and Means Committee.
Ways and Means is the primary committee in the Indiana House that deals with fiscal issues. It will serve as the starting point for deliberations on a biennial state budget during the long session of the Indiana General Assembly, which commences on January 3.
In addition to that assignment, Campbell will be the ranking Democrat on the House Government and Regulatory Reform Committee and serve on the House Insurance Committee.
Along with Ways and Means, Klinker will serve on two other committees: Veterans Affairs and Public Safety; and Education.
