Rep. John Bartlett to honor Drs. Kristina Box and Virginia Caine for COVID-19 efforts
INDIANAPOLIS – State Representative John L. Bartlett (D-Indianapolis) tonight will honor Drs. Kristina Box and Virginia Caine for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic at a community gathering at the HIM by HER Collegiate School for the Arts.
During the 2021 Legislative Session, Bartlett authored House Concurrent Resolutions 33 and 37 to honor Drs. Kristina Box and Virginia Caine respectively for their dedication to their communities in the time of COVID-19. Bartlett will present the official resolutions to both honorees in-person at tonight's event.
“Indiana is very lucky to have such leaders as Dr. Box and Dr. Caine,” Bartlett said.
“Dr. Box and Dr. Caine have worked tirelessly to protect Hoosiers and our communities from COVID-19. They made the tough calls and saved countless Hoosier lives. We owe them a debt of gratitude and I hope that these resolutions are just the first of many signs of appreciation for their work.”
The event will also have time dedicated to discussing Black history and local community issues.
