Northwest Indiana House Democrats receive committee assignments
INDIANAPOLIS – Here are the Indiana House committee assignments for Democrats representing Northwest Indiana:
State Rep. Carolyn B. Jackson (D-Hammond) will be serving on three committees: Natural Resources; Environmental Affairs; and Family, Children, and Human Affairs.
State Rep. Pat Boy (D-Michigan City) will be the ranking Democrat on the House Natural Resources Committee and will serve on one other committee: Environmental Affairs.
State Rep. Mike Andrade (D-Munster) will serve on three committees: Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development; Employment, Labor and Pensions; and Veterans Affairs and Public Safety.
State Rep. Earl Harris, Jr. (D-East Chicago) will serve on three committees: Government and Regulatory Reform; Roads and Transportation; and Ways and Means.
State Rep. Ragen Hatcher (D-Gary) will be the ranking Democrat on the House Courts and Criminal Code Committee and will serve on two other committees: Commerce, Small Business, and Economic Development; and Government and Regulatory Reform.
State Rep. Chuck Moseley (D-Portage) will be the ranking Democrat on the Roads and Transportation Committee and will serve on two other committees: Employment, Labor, and Pensions; and Veterans Affairs and Public Safety.
State Rep. Vernon G. Smith (D-Gary) will be the ranking Democrat on the House Education Committee and will serve on two other committees: Judiciary; and Local Government.
