Moseley honored with “Service Before Self” Award
INDIANAPOLIS – Representative Chuck Moseley (D-Portage) was honored with the “Service Before Self” award at the Indiana Military and Veterans Legislative Day this week at the Statehouse.
Each year, the Planning Committee for Military and Veterans Legislative Day honors Indiana legislators who continuously serve the veteran community in Indiana. The award is an acknowledgment of those in the Legislature who put civil service before themselves.
Moseley is a veteran of the Army National Guard who is dedicated to being an advocate for Hoosier veterans at the Indiana Statehouse.
Among Moseley’s accomplishments during his 11 years in the Indiana House is legislation that ensures veteran benefits apply to the men and women who served in the Army National Guard.
“It is critical that we take care of those who have risked their lives to protect our country,” Moseley said. “We cannot ask our fellow Hoosiers to dedicate their lives to serving our country without dedicating ours to serving them.”
