Local businesses honored for 50+ years

It was wonderful to have the opportunity to attend the Governor’s Century and Half Century Business Awards to honor two family-owned local businesses in March at the Indiana Statehouse. The ceremony honored Indiana businesses that have remained in operation for at least 50 or 100 years and have demonstrated a history of community service. The local businesses honored were Gatlin Plumbing & Heating of Griffith (Randel Gatlin) and Mason Corporation, manufacturers and recyclers of tin chemicals, of Schererville (Todd Hofer).
