INDIANAPOLIS - State Rep. Carolyn B. Jackson (D-Hammond) will conduct two public forums in her district on Saturday (Feb. 22) with Sen. Lonnie Randolph (D-East Chicago) to provide a review of issues being discussed at the Statehouse.

The first meeting will run from 10 a.m. to noon at the Whiting Public Library, located at 1735 Oliver St., Whiting. The second meeting will run from 1-3 p.m. at the Hammond Public Library, located at 564 State St., Hammond.

“I’m excited to report on what’s been happening in the Statehouse so far,” Jackson said. “Especially since my bill on lead testing in schools has passed through the House. This legislation directly affects the children in my area, so I look forward to discussing it further with the community.”

“This will also be a good opportunity to see what my constituents are talking about,” she continued. “If a person has a concern about something happening locally, here is a chance to speak out. I hope I can continue to be a resource for the folks in my district.”
