Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame now open, says State Rep. Mara Candelaria Reardon
The Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame (IMVHOF) now has a permanent home near the American Legion’s Department of Indiana Headquarters in Indianapolis.
The IMVHOF was founded in 2013 in an effort to publicly recognize the service and sacrifices made by our local veterans and their families. Indiana is one of very few states to have an established organization honoring our veterans and is the first state to build a stand-alone military veterans hall of fame facility.
The grand opening ceremony of the IMVHOF took place on April 5. The building, located at 5360 Herbert Lord Road, pays tribute to all five branches of the military and recognizes veterans who have been inducted into the hall of fame. The hall of fame is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
