Hamilton: We must condemn and be better than comments like these

INDIANAPOLIS – State Representative Carey Hamilton (D-Indianapolis) today issued the following statement denouncing President Trump’s attack on four female lawmakers of color:

“The president’s racially charged comments targeting four freshman U.S. Congresswomen of color is beneath the Executive Office of the President of the United States and does not align with our values as Hoosiers and Americans.  We must condemn and be better than comments like these. We are stronger when we work together to move our state and our nation forward – no matter the color of our skin, where our families immigrated from, the God we worship, or the political party we align with.”
