Goodin comments on Judge Bonaventura’s new post

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana House Democratic Leader Terry Goodin from Austin has issued the following statement on today’s announcement that Judge Mary Beth Bonaventura has joined the staff of the Indiana Attorney General’s office:

“First of all, I want to congratulate Judge Bonaventura on her new position. State government can always use individuals with the abilities and skills of the Judge and the people of Indiana will continue to benefit from her work on their behalf.

“We still believe Judge Bonaventura should continue to play an active role in helping the governor and the Legislature find permanent, lasting solutions to improve the delivery of services at the state’s Department of Child Services (DCS). We certainly intend to seek her input on what we can do to continue to make the lives of at-risk children across the state safer. To ignore her expertise in that study would be a huge mistake.”
