GiaQuinta responds to revenue forecast

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana House Democratic Leader Phil GiaQuinta from Fort Wayne has issued the following statement on today’s revenue forecast for the state of Indiana:

“House Republicans have repeatedly said this legislative session that ‘we need to live within our means.’ Given the state’s financial forecast released today, we are living well within our means at the expense of Hoosier teachers and children. Republicans need to step up and do the right thing here. No more excuses. Pay teachers more, invest in public education and fully fund the Department of Child Services (DCS) so that children who are abused and neglected can get the help they need.”
