GiaQuinta responds to governor’s action on permitless carry

INDIANAPOLIS – Today, Indiana House Democratic Leader Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne) released the following statement on Governor Eric Holcomb’s signing of permitless carry:

“Thank you to the advocates and law enforcement officers that showed up to keep our streets safer,” GiaQuinta said. “It is disappointing to watch Republicans go against their own appointed public safety officials, like Indiana State Superintendent Doug Carter, to appease the fringes of the political spectrum. House Democrats will continue to work with law enforcement and community members to make Indiana a safer state.”
