GiaQuinta, House Democratic Caucus mourn the loss of former Rep. Mark “Tracy” Boatwright
House Democratic Leader Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne) issued the following statement following the passing of former Rep. Mark “Tracy” Boatwright on Monday, Jan. 8:
“Rep. Tracy Boatwright lived a life of service long before and long after his time here at the House of Representatives from 1987 to 1992,” GiaQuinta said. “While I never had the privilege of serving here at the General Assembly with Tracy, my father Ben GiaQuinta always spoke highly of him and his commitment to keeping all Hoosiers safe. From working on fire safety at the legislature to protecting lives as State Fire Marshal, he cared deeply for people in his hometown of Marion and across the state.
“I am keeping Tracy’s wife, children and family in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to Hoosier Burn Camp, https://www.hoosierburncamp.org/ or PO BOX 698, Anderson, Indiana 46015.
