GiaQuinta giving away free trees on Saturday (April 7)

INDIANAPOLIS – In what has become a yearly tradition, State Rep. Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne) is helping observe the return of spring by giving away free tree seedlings to local residents on Saturday (April 7).

GiaQuinta will be offering River Birch and Black Oak seedlings on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at the South Side Farmers Market, located at 3300 Warsaw Street.

“I always have enjoyed partnering with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on this tree seedling giveaway,” GiaQuinta said.

“Planting trees helps promote a healthy environment, and it gives families a fun thing to do together. I look forward to seeing folks on Saturday.”
