GiaQuinta celebrates federal investments in Hoosier biotechnology, biomanufacturing
Today, Oct. 23, the Biden Administration announced that Indiana will be home to one of 31 Tech Hubs across the country. Heartland BioWorks, sited in central Indiana, will draw upon Indiana's strong legacy of biomanufacturing to expand the region's “capacity to make and deploy life-saving medicines.” House Democratic Leader Phil GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne) issued the following statement praising the investment:
“I am thankful that President Biden is making good on his promise to grow Indiana's economy from the middle out and bottom up. Hoosier workers are resilient and determined, but lagging wages have left us behind the rest of the Midwest. Today's Heartland BioWorks Tech Hub announcement is a promise that our 21st century economy has a place for every Hoosier to prosper.
“Indiana House Democrats will continue to work toward delivering good-paying jobs and benefits for Hoosiers. A state that supports its working people is a state where families want to live and businesses want to grow.”
