State Rep. Ryan Dvorak provides update on flood control efforts for the St. Joseph River Basin

The legislature unanimously passed a measure I co-authored to expand and clarify the duties of the St. Joseph River Basin Commission. To address the widespread flooding residents experienced in northern Indiana recently, House Enrolled Act 1089 allows the commission to work with neighboring communities and experts on flood control and water quality issues.

I was proud to be a part of the great bipartisan effort that resulted in this common-sense new law and pleased to attend the signing ceremony for this legislation held by Governor Holcomb at the Statehouse in June.
