Andrade encourages constituents to attend public hearing on potential closure of Griffith BMV branch

Rep. Mike Andrade (D-Munster) encourages all residents of House District 12 and surrounding communities to attend an important public hearing regarding the proposed closure of the Griffith Bureau of Moter Vehicles (BMV) branch.

The hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at the Griffith Town Hall. The public is invited to provide comment at the hearing or submit written comment to [email protected]. Those who wish to have their emailed comments made part of the record need to submit them by 11:59 p.m. CST on Aug. 14.

Andrade released the following statement on the announced hearing:

“The Griffith BMV branch plays a significant role in our community, providing essential and accessible services to residents. As discussions continue about consolidation, your feedback is invaluable in ensuring the needs and perspectives of our community are fully represented.

“The Aug. 14 hearing is a critical opportunity for constituents to express their opinions and concerns about the potential closure of this vital community resource. I encourage all residents to participate in this public hearing to voice their views, ask questions and learn more about the implications of this proposed change. As always, I will continue to advocate for what is best for our community.”
