State Rep. Melanie Wright
State Representative Melanie Wright, who represents Indiana House District 35, currently serves as the ranking minority member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee. She also serves on the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee and the Family, Children and Human Affairs Committee.
Wright is an award-winning veteran teacher who has worked in various Indiana public schools. She currently teaches K-6th grade music at Daleville Community Schools.
Wright earned her bachelor of science degree in music education from Ball State University and earned her master of education in curriculum and instruction as well as an administrative license from Anderson University.
Actively involved in her community through projects such as the Little Bronco Dance Clinic and Christmas Angel Tree, Wright is also a member of the Indiana Coalition of Public Education and the American Federation of Teachers-Indiana.
