State Rep. Renee Pack statement on shooting at FedEx facility

INDIANAPOLIS – State Representative Renee Pack (D-Indianapolis) today issued the following statement on the tragic shooting at the FedEx Ground Plainfield Operations Center:

“This morning, our community awoke to the news of a vile, senseless act of violence. My heart goes out to all FedEx Ground employees and their families.

“Tragedies such as these reach all of us, across neighborhoods and precinct lines. We are all one city, and this pain, added to so much loss over the past year, cuts deep. It shakes the foundation of security that we so cherish. But I know that our community is strong. From our shared hurt, we must reach out in shared love and stand united with a strength that will not be broken.

“I am praying for health of body and mind to all affected and am prepared to help in any way that I can.”
