State Rep. Mitch Gore announces committee assignments for 2021 Legislative Session

INDIANAPOLIS – Earlier this month, State Rep. Mitch Gore (D-Indianapolis) was assigned to three committees for the upcoming 2021 Legislative Session. The freshman member, who also works as a Captain at the Marion County Sheriff's Office will serve on the following committees: Veterans Affairs and Public Safety; Roads and Transportation; and Local Government.

“These committee assignments give me the opportunity to both serve the needs of those in Indiana House District 89, while also utilizing my background in law enforcement,” Gore said.

“During the 2021 Session, it will be important to reach across the aisle and come up with solutions that put our people and communities first. I want to put a focus on legislation that both promotes law and order and commonsense policing reform. A more compassionate, safe and prosperous Indiana is possible, and I look forward to getting to work.”

The 2021 Legislative Session will begin on Jan. 4.
