INDIANAPOLIS - State Rep. Cherrish Pryor (D-Indianapolis), the Indiana House Democratic Floor Leader, today announced she will serve on six interim study committees. Interim study committee allow legislators time to research and develop legislation for the upcoming session. Each committee has been assigned various subjects that they will study throughout the months leading up to the 2021 session.

Pryor will serve on the following: Legislative Council, Technology Oversight Subcommittee, Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy, Interim Study Committee on Government, Indiana Women's Suffrage Centennial Commission and NCSL 2020 Legislative Summit Host Committee.

“Interim study committees give legislators a chance to pause and dive deep into specific issues and areas of concern in Indiana. Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic and racial justice are taking center stage, but those things impact several different areas such as education, economic equality and housing. I look forward to taking what I learn during these next several months and using that knowledge to create legislative action,” Pryor said.
