Porter to serve on four interim committees

INDIANAPOLIS – State Rep. Gregory W. Porter (D-Indianapolis) has been appointed to four legislative interim committees. Porter, the ranking Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee, will serve on: the Budget Committee, the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy, the Legislative Council Audit and Financial Reporting Subcommittee and the State Fair Advisory Committee.

“Next year's budget session is right around the corner, so I'm eager to get to work this summer on fiscal policy in these interim study committees,” Porter said.

“With our $6.1 billion surplus, we are in an excellent position to make big investments in public health, education and child care. I am more than ready to play my part in delivering these wins for working Hoosiers.”
