STATEHOUSE - Indiana Black Legislative Caucus Chaplain Rep. Robin Shackleford (D-Indianapolis) is among civic and community leaders who have announced that a public memorial service will be held at the Statehouse on Sunday, December 8, to commemorate and celebrate the remarkable life of Nelson Mandela, one of the greatest political and moral leaders of our time.
The doors of the Statehouse will open to the public at 4:30 p.m.
The memorial service will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Chambers of the Indiana House of Representatives on the Third Floor of the Statehouse.
The event is open to the public.
