INDIANAPOLIS - If you live in Clark, Jefferson, Ripley, Scott, Warrick or Washington counties—and you suffered damage from the severe storms and tornadoes that hit these areas February 29 through March 3 of this year—please be advised that Tuesday, May 8 is the deadline for registering for federal disaster assistance.
Registration for federal disaster assistance can be accomplished in several ways, including online at http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or by phone: toll-free 1.800.621.FEMA(3362) or TTY 1.800.462.7585 (for speech- or hearing-impaired applicants only). Lines are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Thank you for your assistance in this regard and for keeping in your thoughts and prayers the families who have suffered losses as a result of the storms earlier this year.
