INDIANAPOLIS - House Democratic Leader Scott Pelath of Michigan City held a media availability this morning, during which he stated that House Democrats would ensure that Governor Mike Pence’s income tax cut proposal will be heard even though the Republican House majority did not include it in the just-released budget bill.
Pelath noted that the income tax cut proposal is a bold idea and needs to be discussed. "We will do what we can to make sure it is discussed and receives a vote," he said. "And the proposal will get some Democratic support."
