INDIANAPOLIS - During a busy legislative session at the Statehouse, Indiana State Rep. Charlie Brown (D-Gary) has successfully passed more than a dozen bills through the Indiana House of Representatives in an effort to serve the needs of his district and the entire State of Indiana.
In the past month, Brown has cosponsored 13 bills that passed through the House, four of which have already been signed by Governor Mike Pence. He also has one more being heard on the House floor today.
The four bills recently signed by Pence and enacted by law include Senate Bill (SB) 32 on county executive meeting dates, SB 265 concerning health care providers, SB 319 on soil productivity, and SB 471 concerning prescriptions for brand-name drugs.
The rest of Brown’s bills that passed through the House, which largely concern health care and local government issues, are waiting for the Indiana Senate’s approval.
“The members of the Indiana General Assembly have been incredibly busy this session,” Brown said.
“I am pleased to have passed so many bills that affect my constituents—and all Hoosiers—with the support of legislators from both sides of the aisle.”
